1. Who we are
SoftHuge (“we”, “us”) develops and publishes the Android application KNOFF
(package name com.softhuge.knoff). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use KNOFF,
why it is processed, and your choices.

2. Information we process
2.1 Information stored on your device
KNOFF is designed so core wellbeing features work locally. On your device we may store:
- App time limits and which apps you selected
- Usage progress and daily / weekly summaries derived from Android Usage Stats
- Profiles, schedules, and optional Wi‑Fi network names you configure for automation
- App preferences (theme, language, strict mode, default limit)
- A PIN you set for unlock / extend features (stored locally for authentication on device)
- Simple flags such as first launch, in-app review / update prompts
This information is kept in local app storage (for example Room database and DataStore). It is not uploaded to SoftHuge servers for analysis or marketing, because KNOFF does not operate a SoftHuge user-account backend for this app.
2.2 Device permissions and system data we access
To provide digital wellbeing features, KNOFF requests Android permissions. Access is used only for the purposes listed:

| Do Not Disturb / write settings / wallpaper | Optional profile actions (silence, wallpaper, related settings) when you enable them. |
| Ignore battery optimizations | Keep monitoring reliable in the background when you allow it. |
| Internet & network state | Load ads (AdMob) and check for Play in-app updates when available. |
| Advertising ID (AD_ID) | Used by Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertising measurement and personalization subject to your device ad settings. |
2.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)
KNOFF is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and/or native ads). Google and its partners may collect and process information such as:
- Advertising ID / device identifiers
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- Device and app technical data (model, OS version, ad performance events)
- Interaction with ads (views, clicks)
This processing is governed by Google’s policies. See: Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & privacy. You can limit ad personalization in your Android settings (Google → Ads / Privacy).
2.4 Google Play services
KNOFF may use Google Play libraries for in-app updates and in-app review prompts. Those features are provided by Google and subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.
3. What we do not do
- We do not require you to create a SoftHuge account to use KNOFF
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not use your on-device usage history to build a SoftHuge advertising profile
- We do not intentionally collect precise continuous location for marketing
- We do not provide social features, chat, or user-generated public content
4. Children
KNOFF is a self-discipline / productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through ads or the app, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
5. Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you clear app storage, uninstall KNOFF, or reset relevant settings in the app. Uninstalling the app removes KNOFF’s local database and preferences from the device (subject to standard Android backup behavior; KNOFF disables Android Auto Backup for this app).
Advertising partners may retain data according to their own policies and retention periods.
6. Security
We design KNOFF so sensitive wellbeing data stays on-device. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Protect your device with a lock screen, and choose a PIN you do not reuse elsewhere if you enable KNOFF’s PIN features.
7. International users
SoftHuge may be based in a different country than you. AdMob and Google services may process data in the United States or other countries where Google operates. Where required by law, those transfers are covered by Google’s contractual and legal mechanisms.
8. Your choices and rights
- Revoke Usage Access, Overlay, Location, or Notifications in Android Settings
- Reset or opt out of personalized ads in Android advertising settings
- Clear KNOFF storage or uninstall the app to remove local data
- Contact us to ask privacy-related questions about SoftHuge’s practices for KNOFF
Depending on your region (for example EEA/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. Because KNOFF keeps core data on-device, many requests are fulfilled by using device controls above. For AdMob-related requests, Google’s tools and policies also apply.
9. Third-party links and apps
Overlays and limits relate to other apps on your phone. Those apps have their own privacy policies. Opening an ad may take you to a third-party site or store listing not controlled by SoftHuge.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when features, laws, or partners change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of KNOFF after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted in the Play Store “What’s new” section when appropriate.
